Yangliu County West Park
The Yangliu County West Park is a site completely hung over the subway with an area of 73,100 m2. The landscape design creates an artificial, self-circulating small ecosystem involving a two-layer drainage system. One is the surface runoff above the overburden, and the second is the drainage under the overburden/roof (surface water infiltration). The two systems eventually merge and enter the urban
pipeline network.

Existing Condition
The design also included playgrounds, an urban farm, and sports courts, promoting environmental health and community engagement. The approach to overcoming structural challenges while maintaining functionality and aesthetics has received applause from both professional and academic fields.
